My experience for the first time I listened the cassette, I was confused with unfamiliar vocabulary, unclear pronunciation and the speakers spoke quickly. So I could not get the whole understanding about the material. Then when the cassette was replayed for the second time I still found some unclear pronunciation. After the cassette was replayed for many times, I could get the point of the cassette talked about but I still found unclear sounds. After the cassette was replayed sentence by sentence slowly and the lecture gave clarification about unclear sound, I got the point and could understand on what the cassette talked about
The cassette talked about Australia. Australia is a large continent as large as America. Australia not seen by pioneer explorer until 1642 by Dutchman “tazman” who sail rounded Australia. 200 years before Australia became develop modern nation we know today, the main reasons are these: Australia is an enormous island. Australia has Bad climate, in the north uncomfortable wet and in the west uncomfortable dry. There is dessert and water is not flow up hill, it is impossible to irrigate. Australia likes a sort of hollow bowl and the water is hot. The aboriginal never explored or influenced by settler, origin population never develops until the end 19th century. Some animals and plants contribute little or nothing to property. A lot of Eucalyptus lived there and kangaroo’s interesting just at a good smile.
